Jason Williams joined iPlant in 2009 as the Partnership Coordinator for the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and organize events that are connected to the goals of the iPlant EOT working group.
- Use iPlant tools and resources to develop large-scale, distributed experiments that allow faculty and students to participate directly in plant research.
- Work with the plant research community to identify available tools and datasets, then foster ongoing collaborations between scientists, teachers, and students.
- Meet with scientists who contribute resources and to conduct training workshops for teachers who want to participate with their students.
Professional Experience
- Research experience in plant molecular biology (phylogenetics and systematic/ embryogenesis/ cell signaling/molecular genetics).
- Research experience in cancer biology (cell signaling/ post-translational modification/microscopy and imaging).
