Responsibilities

Ray models and implements system metadata for component extensibility and reuse.
He also creates the necessary services to support metadata retrieval and maintenance.

Research Expertise

Ray worked for Hewlett Packard Labs, Palo Alto, creating data mining tools and algorithms in the area of Portfolio Optimization.

He also worked in the area of 3D surface reconstruction from real objects using profilometry methods.
Ray has done research in machine learning applied to population genetics as part of a project of predicting ancestry based on autosomal, Y-Str and Mitochondrial DNA.
Ray is a member of the Computer Vision Lab, Computer Science, University of Arizona.
