Responsibilities

Mary Margaret Sprinkle joined iPlant in March 2008 as a special assistant in the University of Arizona's Bio5 Institute. Her main interest is the effective operation and management of large-scale, federally-funded research centers. Mary Margaret is primarily focused on using funds appropriately, maintaining compliance with ever-changing federal regulations, and increasing communication across a global and virtual organization.  She is also interested in the impact of interdisciplinary and international collaboration as it relates to innovation and the sustainability of a project.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining iPlant, Mary Margaret worked as a Research Support Officer and Acting Executive Director of the NSF-funded Science and Technology Center, TRUST, at UC Berkeley.
